First of all, we need to understand that we are not eating for survival. We are eating to live. Our bodies are designed to live and thrive in a healthy environment.

So what is a healthy diet?

A healthy diet is one that contains plenty of fruits and vegetables. It is also a diet that contains enough protein and carbohydrates. It does not contain too much sugar or fat. The ideal diet for a yogi would be one that contains 75% of the daily recommended allowance (DRA) for vitamins and minerals.

The DRA is a guideline for what you should be eating each day. It is based on the amount of calories that you burn each day. It is based upon your body weight and height.

What about fiber?

Fiber is important for the digestive system. Yogis are encouraged to eat more fiber. Fiber is found in whole grains, nuts, seeds, beans, peas, and some fruits.
